Formally, I’m diagnosed with HSD currently, but I do meet the 2017 hEDS diagnostic criteria and did meet at the time I was diagnosed – as is a pretty common thing to happen to many of us.
I made this blog to share parts of my life with hEDS, and to share everyday useful and practical tips for others living with hypermobility or other chronic conditions. I’ve had to get mighty resourceful over the years to find tips to make my life semi-functional and enjoyable to live, and I want nothing more than to be able to help others do the same.
Now a little about me in a personal sense. I’m a gamer and love all sorts of different types of games, everyone around me knows my favourite Pokémon is Ditto as is evident by the fact I hand made my own ditto headboard for my bed, I love decorating my mobility aids, I’m a bit of a fashionista, and you’ll often find me doing various forms of arts and crafts.
I used to work as a professional digital commission artist until my hands got too messed up, but now I work as a social media manager who dabbles in graphic design and occasionally drawing graphics or illustrations for work. I currently work part time in the EDS subset of the health industry with a hypermobility focused allied health professional clinic, and it’s the most rewarding work I’ve ever done in my life. The biggest thing to know about me is I love my job so much and I pretty much live and breathe it.
